Majorca Pearls is a brand name for this type of fake pearl. They were originally manufactured on the island of Majorca in the Mediterranean. The Manufacturer uses a glass bead and coats the surface with a paste made from fish scales to make the imitation surface look like a real pearl. They have a good weight and smooth surface. Majorca Pearls are made to a high standard and give the impression of high quality pearls at the fraction of the cost.
